Watermark Gospel’s mission is to show the world how to find Jesus in every story of the Bible. Their biblical approach is based on Jesus’ teaching to the Emmaus disciples in Luke 24 that every Bible story points directly to the suffering of Jesus on the cross and to Jesus’ glorious resurrection on the third day! Using this uniquely Christ-centered approach, their videos, lessons, and resources take you through the Bible, from Genesis through Revelation, showing you how the stories of the great heroes and heroines of Scripture are really pointing us to One True Hero—Jesus, and his great triumph over death!
EPISODES
Episode 1
A Bride for Adam
What can we learn about Jesus from the story of Adam, an innocent man who was wounded in his side for the sake of his bride? The Apostle Paul says that Jesus was a new and greater Adam. The similarities between Adam and Jesus are quite remarkable. They both had no father except the Lord God, and they both inaugurated the beginning of a new creation. But perhaps the most striking similarity of all is the scar that both of them bear in the side—a scar received for the sake of their bride! Is it possible that God intended Adam’s bloody wounding in the side for the sake of Eve to anticipate Jesus’ bloody wounding in the side for the sake of his bride, the Church? In this lesson, discover an entirely new dimension of the Savior’s love for you!
Abel was a good shepherd, who offered an acceptable sacrifice to God. But Abel’s great favor with God provoked the hatred of his brother, Cain, who murdered him in cold blood. After death, Abel’s blood cried out to the Lord for justice, and the author of Hebrews specifically cites this fact as evidence of resurrection power. Does the story of a good shepherd, who unjustly suffers death, but then speaks through resurrection power beyond the grave sound familiar? Learn how the sacrifice of Abel was a preview of the even greater sacrifice of Jesus to come!
Episode 2
Cain & Abel
What can we learn about Jesus from the story of how Father Abraham must sacrifice his unique and beloved son, Isaac? Genesis 22 is a passage that many people struggle to understand. In this most unusual story, God gives Father Abraham the terrifying command to sacrifice his beloved son, Isaac. In obedience to God, Abraham takes his son to a hill outside of the future Jerusalem. He watches in grief as his son carries the wood for his own sacrifice up the hill. But at the last moment, God spares Isaac from death by providing a substitute sacrifice! What did God intend to teach Abraham about through this experience?
Episode 3
Abraham & Isaac
Joseph knew great suffering in his life. He was rejected by his brothers, thrown into a pit, sold into slavery in Egypt, and then on top of all of this, falsely accused and condemned to an underground dungeon, a place of metaphoric death. But Joseph learned that his suffering was not without gospel purpose. In time, God intervened to vindicate Joseph. In a metaphoric resurrection, Joseph was raised up out of the dungeon and exalted to the right hand of the royal throne of pharaoh to rule over all of Egypt. Discover how the trajectory of Joseph, which begins in extreme suffering and ends in the greatest of glory, anticipates the far more wonderful ministry of the Lord Jesus!

The Birth of Moses
Moses was the “savior” that God had appointed to rescue his people from slavery in Egypt. But Moses was born under a decree of death! Pharaoh commanded that all the male children of Israel must be thrown into the Nile River. However, God delivered the infant Moses through the waters of death and raised him up to the royal house of Pharaoh in a glorious picture of resurrection! Discover how the birth of Moses anticipated the coming of the True Savior, Jesus, who also escaped a king’s decree of death as an infant!
